Cost-Plus Billing

Southlight Design/Build uses the cost-plus approach to costing and billing that is promoted by the Canadian Home Builders' Association. With cost-plus, clients know exactly what they are paying for each week. All spending on materials and labour is transparent. We can spot early if a job starts to run over budget and offer solutions that work for you.

We know that our next job depends on your recommendation, so we always want to leave you feeling that your money was well spent. Considering that 90% of our business is based on word of mouth, maintaining the budget is central to our company.

Quality Control and Standards

Southlight Design/Build is always available to discuss any aspect of your project while it’s underway. We focus on one customer at a time so you have our full attention, and we can work efficiently.

We prioritize safety. Our project manager coordinates our trades, and we make sure all of our team members are fully licensed, certified and insured. As a member of Reno-mark, Southlight Design/Build follows the Code of Conduct and provides a two-year warranty on workmanship, is licensed by the City of Toronto, and is compliant with the Ontario Ministry of Labour and WSIB.
